Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered on June 24, 1996.

The arms are based on a seal of the village from 1868. On the meaning of the arms there is the following story : All villagers had to work for the local landlords. Work crews would report for duty and be given their assignments. One day the whole Hromoš work crew arrived late for work. The official in charge punished them by stating : "You will do the dirtiest job." This turned out to be chimney sweeps.
