German | In schwarzem Schilde drei (2: 1) goldene Wolfsangeln, darüber in goldenem Schildhaupt ein liegendes rotes, mit schwarzen Löchern versehenes Zieheisen. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 14, 1939.
The three hooks in the arms are the symbol of the Amt Hemer, to which the village belonged. The upper part shows an iron tool with holes (German Zieheisen) used to produce wire industrially. It is a symbol for the local industry.
