INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF THE HOME GUARD, NORWAY
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The Arms show a Budstikke which in old times was sent out to call out all ablebody men to defend the Country. The Axes symbolises a weapon much found in the troops thus assembled. In the Crest is a variation of the Lion in the national Coat of Arms of Norway.
