Arms : Ermine, a cross patonce Or fimbriated azure charged over all with a hurt, thereon a wolf's head erased argent; on a chief indented also azure a lion passant gold vulned in the dexter forepaw proper and langued azure.
Crest: On a wreath argent, Or and azure, An inkhorn argent, garnished Or, perched thereon and raising the lid thereof with the dexter claw a dove, in the beak a sprig of laurel slipped proper.
Motto: Universal understanding.
