Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1902 and show the history of the village. The first and fourth quarter show the arms of Baden, the second a crosier for the Herrenalb Abbey, and the third the arms of Württemberg. The village belonged until 1232 to Baden, from 1232-1555 to Herrenalb, from 1555-1603 to Württemberg and from 1603-1945 again to Baden.
