(nl) Rood, beladen met drie zilveren stijgbeugels, 2:1 en een zilveren schildhoek beladen met een rode vijfbladige roos, de eerste stijgbeugel deels bedekkend; het schild rechts gedekt door een mijter en geplaatst op een voordraagkruis met enkele dwarsbalk en een naar buiten gekeerde kromstaf, alles van natuur­lijke kleuren; het geheel overtopt door een groene prelatenhoed met van beide zijden afhangend zes groene kwasten 1:2:3. Wapenspreuk: FIDE ROMANA.

Origin/meaning

The arms are the family arms of the De Hemptinne family.

The motto 'Fide Romana' is also taken from a motto used by the family since the middle of the 19th century.
