Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a White shield shaped embroidered device 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width blazoned: Per bend Argent and Celeste, a bend Azure, surmounted by a wolf’s head of the second, detailed and fimbriated of the last, eye, teeth and muzzle of the first. Attached above a White scroll inscribed “JOE E. NEWSOME” in Blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height, all within a Dark Blue border.

Origin/meaning

Carolina blue, Navy, and white are the school colors. The Wolf is the school mascot. The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 18 October 2006.
