Official blazon

  • (1955) Punaisessa kentässä hopeinen, yläreunaltaan rikottu teilausratas; päällikkeenä Pyhä Katariina, oikeassa kädessään miekka ja kohotetussa vasemmassa kädessään avonainen kirja; kaikki kultaa.
  • (2009) Punaisessa kentässä kolme nousevaa kultaista, apilakärkistä sudenhammasta.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2009 and are the old arms of Piikiö, see there.

Previously the municipality used the arms below, granted on June 13, 1955.

The arms show St. Catherine and her symbol, the broken wheel. These have been derived from the medieval seal of the local parish.
