KANTA-HÄME / EGENTLIGA TAVASTLAND

Kanta-Häme is a region in Finland created in 1997 as part of Etela-Suomi to which it belonged from 1997-2009. Since 2009 it is a separate region. Until 1997 part of Häme province.

Punaisessa kentässä kävelevä kultainen ilves, jonka korvatöyhdöt mustat; saatteena ilveksen yläpuolella kolme kuusisakaraista tähteä ja alapuolella neljä ruusua 1+3; kaikki hopeaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 1, 1997.

The arms are the historical arms of the Häme province without a crown.
