Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 22, 1967.

The upper left part of the arms shows a deer antler, symbol for the many deer in the forest in the municipality as well as for the former hunting lodge near the village. The upper right half shows a glass blower's pipe, symbol for the glass industry in the village. The base shows (part of) the lion and the crosses of the arms of the County Saarbrücken, to which the village hostorically belonged.
