Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 30, 1967.

The reed is a symbol for the many swamps and bogs in the area, before it was cultivated. The well is taken from the arms of the Brunner family (Brunnen=well), many of which were prevosts of the Indersdorf Abbey. The abbey had many possessions in the area since medieval times.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
