KASZUBY

Arms (crest) of Kaszuby

Origin/meaning

Kaszuby is a region in Poland, located west of Gdańsk and the mouth of the Vistula river, it is inhabited by members of the Kashubian ethnic group. It has never been an independent state. The arms above have been used, however, for the region since the 16th century and are derived from the arms of the Duchy of Pommern, to which the area belonged.
