State : Oberösterreich
District : Perg

Katsdorf.jpg

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on August 27, 1973

The cross in the upper part symbolises the new church built and consecrated in 1116 by Ulrich I, bishop of Passau. The colours are the colours of the St. Florian Abbey, to which the parish belonged and still belongs.

The lower half shows a teasel (Weberkarde) a common crop in the area until the middle of the 20th century. The local teasel-association (Katsdorfer Kardengenossenschaft) was founded in 1896 indicating the importanc eof the crop.
