Origin/meaning

The wavy base symbolises the Lune river. The water mill wheel refers to the historical watermill, the Stemmermühle. The three wheat ears refer to the three villages in the municipality (Ahe, Altwistedt, Kirchwistedt) and to the agricultural character of the municipality.
