Silber gespalten durch eine eingeschweifte rote Spitze, darin eine silberne Abtsstabkrümme, vorn ein grüner dreiblättriger Buchenzweig mit ungeöffnetem Fruchtbecher, hinten ein schwarzes facettiertes Hochkreuz

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 13, 1986.

The arms indicate that the area historically belongd to either the Fulda Abbey of the COunts of Isenburg. The black cross is taken from the Abbey arms, the red and silver colours ar ethe oldest colours for the Isenburg County. The beech leaves refer to the many beech forests in the area. The base refers to the Laach Abbey, which had possessions in the municipality.
