Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 1, 1939.

The arms show the upper front part of a local type of farmhouse. The arms are thus also partly canting, Baushaft comes from Bauerschaft or farmer's village. The colours are those of the State of Minden, to which the area historically belonged.
