Origin/meaning :
The arms were adopted in 1978.
The red bend is derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Knoeringen. The black cross is derived from a typical sculpture on the local church. The red and gold colours are also derived from the arms of the last Lords of Knoeringue, the Counts of Ferrette, who owned the estate until 1789.
