Additions: 2009 Bebri (parish), Irši (parish), Koknese (parish)

Official blazon
Latvian

Purpura laukā sudraba pusmēness, virs tā kreisās spāres virzienā liktu sudraba bīskapa zizli krusto zelta atslēga; zelta pavedienapmale.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 2009.

The arms are based on the historical seal of the town, see below. The Archbishop of Riga historically had a summer residence here, which is symbolised by the cross and crosier. The boat in the base probably indicates the importance of the two rivers Daugava and Perse for the local community.
