Origin/meaning

It is speculated that the hand from the clouds is the depiction of the influence of god on humanity. The palm trees can be symbols of peace and joy and together they offer a peaceful life under protection of god. The bishop on a horse is canting, Reither is derived from Reiter, meaning rider. The lower half shows a classroom and refers to his former profession as a teacher.
