Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on August 3, 1962.

The mountain is the Nockstein mountain, which dominates the municipality. The eagle's head and the crosier are the symbols for the Chiemsee Abbey, to whom the Koppl Estate belonged from 1313-1803.
