Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 31, 2015.

Kotkino is an ancient Pomor settlement, located on the right bank of the Sula River. At one time in Kotkino there was a rich collective farm which had a large herd of thoroughbred cows, and still the village produces dairy products. The deer and cow thus represent the reindeer herding and cow farming in the area.

The base symbolises the Sula river, which is rich in pikes and other fish.

The arms were based on the result of a local competition in 2014.
