Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 14, 1951.

The wavy bend in the arms symbolises the Würm river that runs through the municipality. The trees symbolise the forests in the area. The colours are the colours of Bayern, the area is one of the oldest possessions of the Wittelsbach family, Dukes and Kings of Bayern.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
