Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 25, 2006.

The Golden Star is a symbol of the victory of our people in the Great Patriotic War. During the years of World War II, the "blue line" passed through the territory of the Crimean region, where fierce battles were waged with the Nazi invaders. On the territory of the district there is a monument to the soldier-liberator "Sopka Heroes". It annually hosts events related to the celebration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The blue bar, illuminated by three silver rays emerging from the star - allegorically symbolize the memory of the glorious deeds of our ancestors, the rays illuminate the earth, reminding us that we owe hero warriors to today's world.

The basis of the economy of the modern region is agricultural production reflected in the emblem of the green field. The grapes symbolize the unique Sauk-Dere winery, which has a wine storage facility for aged dry vintage wines with a capacity of about 1 million decalitres, Chateau le Grand Vostok LLC. The local winery conglomerate and four vineyards produce high-quality distillery and wine products.

The base also symbolizes the large reserves of artesian water located in the region.
