Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the arms of the province of Béarn, the second the cultivation of corn, the main agricultural activity. The third shows a shell, indicating that Laàs is on the road to Santiaho de Compostella and the fourth shows the dagger of Saint Barthélémy, patron saint of the parish.
