Origin/meaning

The crosier is the attribute of Saint Avit, who was bishop of Clermont Ferrand and who performed a miracle in La Cellette. There is still a Fountain (spring) of Saint Avit in La Cellette. . The chain links are a symbol for Saint Peter, patron saint of the village. The viaduct is ta landmark in the municipality and the green symbolizes agriculture.
