LABACH

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Incorporated into : 1800s Knopp-Labach

Wappen von Labach/Arms (crest) of Labach
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were never officially granted.

The tree is a canting element for Laub-bach (Laub=leaf-tree) and is taken from the old seal of the village, known from 1720. The balls in the base are also taken from the sweal and are the arms of the Lords of Sickingen, to which the village belonged until 1793.
