Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 3, 1998.

The laurel wreath is a direct phonetic reference to the toponym, from latin laurus, although the name actually derives from the "Laberianus Fundus", the agricultural fund owned by that Laberius, a Roman veteran of the late imperial era who had received it in compensation.

The red-blue threaded bands are those of the Morra, the last lords, while the capitol recalls the origins of the locality as the ancient Roman center of Industria.
