Origin/meaning :
The arms show the small arms of the counts of Meissen with St. Mary as supporter. The Counts of Meissen acquired in the 14th century the castle and village of Lobeda. The oldest known seal dates from the late 14th century and already shows the same composition, as did all later seals.
