  • (de) Gespalten und halb geteilt, vorn in Blau ein schreitender, golden bewehrter silberner Graureiher, hinten oben in Gold ein hersehender, golden gekrönter schwarzer Stierkopf mit geschlossenem Maul, unten in Rot zwei zusammengewachsene goldene Eichenblätter mit goldener Eichel

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 27, 2015.

The heron is a typical bird for the region and stands for the rich nature of the district. The bull's head is taken from the old arms of the Parchim district, the oak branch is taken from the arms of the Ludwigslust district.
