Official blazon

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall consisting of a white enamel cross pateé charged at center with a blue enamel and gold ship's wheel and suspended from the lateral arms of the cross and curving below the wheel, a maroon enamel scroll inscribed with the words "HARBOR FOR HEALTH" in gold letters with each of the upper angles of the cross traversed diagonally by a wavy blue bar.

Origin/meaning

The cross is adapted from the arms of the port city of Bremerhaven, Germany, where the Activity os located and is symbolis of medical aid and assistance. The blue wavy bars alludes to the Weser Rivers and the Ship's wheel symbolises the Harbour.

The Design was approved on November 10, 1975.
