Origin/meaning

The arms show a harp, symbolizing Santa Cecília de Montserrat, the monastery that has been the traditional centre of the municipality; in fact, this was the former official name of the municipality itself. The three stones allude to the martyrdom of St. Stephen, the local patron saint.
