In Silber der wachsende, golden gerüstete heilige Martin mit goldenem Helm, darauf ein roter Kamm, der mit silbernem Schwert ein Stück seines roten Mantels dem wachsenden nackten Bettler zuteilt.

Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of the town dates from 1745 and already shows the image of St. Martin and the beggar, although in an uncommon way. St. Martin is the patron saint of the town. In 1837 the rather complicated image was simplified to the above arms, which were again formally adopted in 1928.
