MARLES-EN-BRIE

Département : Seine-et-Marne

Blason de Marles-en-Brie/Coat of arms (crest) of {{PAGENAME
Official blazon
French D'or au moulin à vent de sable, accompagné en chef de deux quintefeuilles de gueules et, en pointe, d'une fleur de lis du même.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on November 12, 2018.

The windmill refers to the former landmark in the village. The two cinquefoils are taken from the arms of the Lords of Beringhen, to whom the area belonged in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The fleur-de-lys refers to the fact that initially Marles was a Royal estate.
