Van keel met een paal van zilver - het schild geplaatst op een mantel van keel, gevoerd van hermelijn, met franjes, geboord en met kwasten van goud en overtopt met de muts van prins van het Heilige Roomse Rijk.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 31, 1961.

The arms are thos eof the Freedom of Hoogstraten, to which the village historically belonged. As since 1740 the Freedom was a possession of the Princes of Salm-Salm, the arms are placed on the cloak of the Princes. This composition was also seen on the last seal of the Freedom, dating from 1795.
