Official blazon
Dutch In goud een recht-gelegde roode rooster; het schild rustende op een rechtstaanden gouden abtsstaf, de krul rechts.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 19, 1907.

The arms show a grill, the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Lawrence. The colours of the arms are those of the former County of Loon. The village historically was a possession of the St. Lawrence Abbey in Liège, hence the choice of the patron saint. The grill already appeared on the 17th century seal of the local council.
