Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 28, 2010.

The arms show elements of several families that ruled the village historically; the Courtenay (red balls), Coeur (scallop) and Chabannes (lions). The rose is taken as a symbol for the possessions of the Sainte Rose Abbey in the municipality in medieval times.

The red and golden colours refer to the former steel and iron works in the area.
