Dutch	Van zilver met een kruis van lazuur, het schild getopt met een kroon met drie fleurons van elkaar gescheiden door drie op een punt gezette parels geplaatst 1 en 2 en gehouden door twee omziende leeuwen van goud, genageld en getongd van keel, houdende elk een banier, deze van rechts met het wapen van het schild, deze van links van groen met tien aaneengesloten en aanstotende ruiten van zilver, geplaatst 3,3,3 en 1.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 15, 1949.

The arms show the arms of the De Croix family, Lords of Moen. In 1718 the Moen Estate became officially a county and Ignace de Crois hence used the title Count of Moen. His arms were also used by the local council and parish during the whole 18^th century, as can seen from a seal dating from 1794.

The cross (croix) is a canting element. The left banner shows the arms of the Dadizele estate, another possession of the family (see now Moorslede).
