Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 28, 1982.

The arms are based on the seal of the village from 1785, which showed a canting linden tree (Tilleul). The small shield shows the arms of Guillaume-Joseph, Count of Loon, last Lord of Landelies in the late 18th century.
