Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2019.

The Agnus Dei is the symbol of St. John, the local patron saint. The garb refers to the agricultural character of the village. The base symbolises the Loire river and has a fleur-de-lys, taken from the arms of the De Vic family, who lived at the local castle in the 17th and 18th centuries.
