MOUHIJÄRVI

Region : Pirkanmaa
Former province : 1997-2009 Länsi-Suomi (until 1997 Häme)

Mouhijärvi Kuntavaakuna / Kommunvapen

Official blazon

Sinisessä kentässä alainen, hammaskoroinen, kaksikärkinen hirsi, jonka yläpuolella saatteena naulakantainen apilaristi; molemmat kultaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 5, 1957.

The arms show the town's initial and a cross bottony. The latter refers to the agricultural character of the municipality as well as to the old church, which dates from the late 16th century.
