Escudo de prata com uma faixa ao centro, de negro, carregada de três espigas de milho, de prata e folhadas do mesmo. No chefe dois cachos de uvas de púrpura e folhados de verde; e no contra-chefe um cacho igual. Coroa mural de quatro torres de prata. Listel branco, com a legenda : " VILA DE NELAS ", a negro.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 25, 1935.
The arms mainly refer to the agricultural character of the region, with growing corn and grapes.
