NIEDERMIESAU
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kaiserslautern
Incorporated into : 1937 Miesau (1972 Bruchmühlbach-Miesau)
German | In Silber auf dem Stamm einer goldbewurzelten grünen Buche ein von Blau und Silber gespaltener Mittelschild, darin zwei Rauten in verwechselten Farben. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 19, 1926.
The beech tree refers to the medieval village of Buchholz (Buche=beech), which no longer exists, in the municipality. The area historically belonged for centuries to the Pfalz and the two diamonds are taken from the arms of the Wittelsbach family (see Bayern), who were the Counts-Electors of the Pfalz at the time.
Literature: Debus, 1988
