Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1993.

The deer antler, colours and division are based on the old arms of the Sonderhausen Estate, to which the village historically belonged. The ear is taken from the old seal of the village, known from the early 19th century. Its meaning is not known.
