Incorporated into : 1974 Blieskastel

Niederwurz.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 22, 1965.

The red cross and the silver pale are taken from the arms of the State of Trier and the Von der Leyen County, to which the village historically belonged. The deer antlers are the symbol of St. Hubertus, the local patron saint. The wavy base and water lily leaf symbolise the small lake on which the village is situated.
