NO 1 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed in 1912 as part of the British Army as No 1 Airship Company, renamed on 19 May 1912 as No 1 Airship and Kite Company. Becoming in May 1916 No 1 Squadron, Royal Flying Corps.
