The badge symbolises Air to air Refueling. The Blue represents the Sky while the device shows the probe of the recieving Aircraft beeing set into the drouge basket of the Tanker Aircraft. All indicate the Role of the Unit to traing Tanker Aircraft Crews. The badge was granted in August 1972.

NO 232 OPERATIONAL CONVERSION UNIT, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed at Gaydon on July 4, 1955. Disbanded July 1, 1965 with the Ground Echelon beeing absorbed into No 230 OCU. The Flying side was renamed Tanker Training Flight. On February 6, 1970 the Victor Training Flight at RAF Marham was renamed No 232 OCU.
