NO 24 MAINTENANCE UNIT, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: formed at Tenhill in April 1938.
Official blazon
Badge: In front of an anvil sable a broken sword argent/gules.
Motto: Renovata reddimus = We return it restored.
Origin/meaning
The badge symbolises the role of repairing engines from crashed Aircraft. The badge was granted in January 1948. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
