History: Formed November 1, 1953. Disbanded January 2, 1956 and reformed September 8, 1966.

Badge: In front of an eagle sable armed gules displayed charged with a flash Or a sword in fess point to the dexter argent hilted Or.
Motto: Immer wachsam = Always alert

Origin/meaning

The Eagle symbolises the location of the Unit to Germany. The Flash symbolises the role as a Signals Unit, the Sword indicates defence. The badge was granted in March 1966.
