History: Raised at Hounslow in November 1915.

An elephant vert.
Motto:Quam celerrime ad astra

Origin/meaning

The Elephant symbolises the Martinside Elephant Aircraft which the Squadron flew in World War I. The Motto transaltes as "As quickly as possible to the stars". The badge was granted in October 1936.
