History: Formed at Blida in November 1943.
Official blazon
Over waves of the sea a dexter hand couped at the wrist in bend sinster Or.
Motto: Ex aere salus = Safety from the Air.
Origin/meaning
The Role of the Squadron was Air-Sea Rescue which is symbolised by the Badge. Which was granted in July 1945.
